Membership terms
A membership is a 12-month plan. Here is plainly what you commit to, what happens if you stop early, and how to cancel.
Last updated 10 October 2026 (the Signal Baseline added). These terms apply to Signal Membership and are read with the Consumer Protection Act, 2008.
The 12-month plan
- Signal Membership: 12 months. Your full Baseline panel at home in month one, and a second panel (your Progress retest) about six months later, each with a doctor's review and the nurse's body measures.
- Price: the first 100 members pay R695 a month, locked for their first 12 months. From the 101st member the price is R995 a month. The price you pay is shown at checkout and stays the same for your 12 months. From the 101st member you can also pay for the year once, at R9,995: the same 12-month membership and both visits, paid in full, with the same 7-day refund before your first visit.
- The term starts on the day of your first payment. Your monthly payment falls due on the same date each month, and we send you a secure payment link a few days before.
Why the plan is for 12 months
Your first visit carries most of the year's cost: the nurse, the full laboratory panel and the doctor's review all happen in month one, while you pay for it over twelve. The monthly price only works if the year is completed, which is why the plan is a 12-month commitment with a fair fee if it ends early.
Changing your mind
If you cancel within 7 days of your first payment and before your first nurse visit, we refund everything you have paid.
The Signal Baseline is a single visit, paid once, with no 12-month plan: cancel within 7 days of paying and before your visit for a full refund.
Cancelling during the 12 months
You can cancel at any time by giving us 20 business days' notice in writing to info@signalhealth.me. A cancellation fee then applies, worked out like this:
- We add up the value of the panels you have already had: R5,950 for the Baseline panel and R3,950 for the second panel.
- We subtract every membership payment you have made.
- The fee is what is left, but never more than the monthly payments remaining in your 12 months, and never less than zero.
For example, a R695 membership cancelled after month two: Baseline R5,950, less R1,390 paid, gives R4,560, which is below the R6,950 still left in the term, so the fee is R4,560. Cancelled after month eight: Baseline and second panel R9,900, less R5,560 paid, gives R4,340. That is more than the R2,780 left in the term, so the fee is R2,780.
If a payment is missed
If a monthly payment is more than 14 days late, we will remind you. Visits are paused until it is paid. If it remains unpaid after 30 days, we treat the membership as cancelled on that date, and the cancellation fee above becomes payable.
At the end of the 12 months
Between 40 and 80 business days before your 12 months end, we will remind you, with the price for the next year. Members who joined at the first-100 rate of R695 renew at the standard membership price at that time. If you do nothing, your membership carries on month to month at the same price, and you can then cancel at any time with 20 business days' notice and no fee.
Visits and results
Nurse visits are on weekday mornings, booked with you in advance. Please give us at least 24 hours' notice to move a visit. Signal is a wellness service. It does not replace your doctor, and nothing we send you is a diagnosis.
